A Distinction for Distinguished Service
An Honorary Doctorate Degree, also known as Honoris Causa, is an academic recognition given by institutions to individuals who have made significant contributions to their field or society. Its purpose is to honor exceptional achievements, leadership, and impact across every discipline — from scholarship and business to philanthropy, public service, and the arts.
Recipients are often influential figures: scholars, business moguls, philanthropists, religious leaders, legal practitioners, activists, politicians, captains of industry, uniform personnel, or artists.
Honorary Doctorate Degrees Conferred
Doctor of Philosophy in Philanthropic Management
Recognizes outstanding contributions to philanthropy, charitable work, and social impact in a faith-based context.
Doctor of Philosophy in Sacred Humanities & Management

Honors exceptional achievements in music or musicology.
Who Qualifies
- •Demonstrated excellence and leadership in their field (usually 10+ years)
- •Contributions to advancing knowledge, culture, technology, or social welfare
- •Strong record of ethical conduct and public service
- •No specific academic requirements or coursework needed
The Process
- 1.Nomination by faculty, alumni, or external stakeholders
- 2.Review by a committee considering contributions and alignment with our mission
- 3.Final decision by the Institution's Governing body or Council
- 4.Conferment at a special ceremony honoring the recipient's impact
